PIPPA
Pippa came two years after Kaiti. She isn't an avatar and seems to believe that if you photograph her, you're stealing her soul; so she doesn't feature much on her own.
Here's Pippa the day we brought her home being checked out by Kaiti.
Kaiti's size advantage lasted days as Pippa shot up and she quickly became the bane of Kaiti's existence.
Pippa was a very cute puppy and never more so than when she was asleep and not tormenting Kaiti!
Unlike her canine housemate, Pippa was delighted to play with the children and loved being fussed over.
She has retained this trait and is the most persistent of the dogs in seeking out attention.
Believe it or not, the cat was there first!
But that would have been no deterrent to Pippa who, for a long time, harboured the somewhat misplaced belief that she was actually a lap dog.
This got to be a problem when she was three feet tall and over 50lbs.
Just look at the disdain on Kaiti's face...
When she will let you get a decent snap of her, Pippa's a stunning dog.
Although she would never have made it as a hunting companion, she's such a great mover that we're sure she would have been successful as a show dog - if we did such things!
