There's a lot to say about Kachina as her presence has brought with it a whole new set of learning. It will all be recorded in the next book.

Kachina loves the snow.
She has a luxurious winter coat that she sheds to become much sleeker in summer.
She's the only dog we have who builds snow nests by burrowing down into the snow.
Sometimes when it's deep, she becomes invisible.
Kachina's looks attract a lot of attention so when she comes hiking with us, she always wears a bandana to make it clear that she's a dog!
KACHINA
To the casual onlooker, it looks like Sharon's lunch is being stolen by a wolf whilst Timba looks on!
These are typical Kachina poses when she wants to come in.
She stands outside and bangs on the window.
However, when you open the door, she often just wants somebody to come out to play!
If you notice the dirt on the window, it's there because Kachina just smeared it!
